NADR - A Platform to help Providers Align on Quality

In a field where data is often siloed and inconsistently defined, Jade Health has introduced a game-changing resource: the National Autism Data Registry (NADR). Now in its second year, NADR enables ABA providers to participate in a standardized, risk-adjusted benchmarking platform designed to elevate clinical accountability and payor alignment.

Unlike tools that attempt to passively scrape or auto-sync records, NADR relies on structured data submissions from providers, who extract their data from systems like CentralReach or other EHRs. This data is then mapped to NADR’s robust 147-element schema, built on three defined data dictionaries.

Once onboarded, providers receive a quarterly ASD Quality Index Score—a proprietary benchmark encompassing structure, process, and outcomes—used to track internal performance, support payer negotiations, and differentiate in the labor market.

What NADR Offers

  • Apples-to-apples benchmarking across national peer providers (risk-adjusted)

  • Quarterly machine learning–based risk adjustment, using Johns Hopkins methodologies

  • Severity of Autism, norm-referenced, criterion-referenced, and quality-of-life assessment integration

  • Structured onboarding and validation for high-confidence data ingestion

As of April 2025, NADR includes:

  • Over 32,000 patient records

  • More than 50,000 clinical staff

  • Data across 31 states

  • 2.5M+ data points across five quarters

Onboarding in 3 Phases

Every NADR participant goes through a guided onboarding process led by Jade’s VP of Product, Melissa Sallustio:

1. Implementation

  • Kickoff & Planning – Aligns on goals, sets expectations, and establishes technical requirements and timelines

  • Data Mapping – Providers review and map their internal data to NADR’s schema, confirm data sources, and identify any gaps

  • Data Transfer Specifications – Outlines the secure transfer process and reviews how NADR ensures data privacy, quality, and HIPAA compliance

2. Test Transfer

  • Providers submit sample data to validate schema alignment and receive automated feedback

3. Production Go-Live

  • Final data is validated and transitioned to NADR’s production environment for regular ongoing transfers

While the data must be manually extracted and transformed by providers, the NADR team offers detailed coaching and validation reports to streamline onboarding.

Provider Perspectives

Many of NADR’s founding participants have used the platform to sharpen internal QA, bolster payor conversations, and even enhance clinical recruiting.

“JumpStart Autism Center is using NADR to demonstrate the exceptional nature of our services. The visualization of data that NADR provides makes it easier to measure treatment effectiveness and evaluate organizational efficiency and service delivery. The insight JAC has gained through NADR has supported continuous improvement of internal processes, enhances client care, and strengthens the case for renegotiating payor contracts by demonstrating measurable value, quality outcomes, and operational excellence.”
Cassie Mohr, Director of Clinical Quality, JumpStart Autism Center

“At Appleseeds, NADR has become a powerful tool in our mission to deliver life-changing outcomes for children with autism. It helps us turn data into purpose—tracking meaningful progress, driving clinical excellence, and holding ourselves accountable to the future every child deserves.”
Emma Chenoweth, Founder & Owner, Appleseeds Behavioral Center

“We use the National Autism Data Registry to benchmark our outcomes, identify trends, and help make improvements in our service delivery. It’s a valuable tool that supports our commitment to data-driven decision-making and better outcomes for the families we serve.”
Derek Bullard, Chief Executive Officer, Already Autism Health

Looking Ahead

Though NADR is currently platform-agnostic, most participants use CentralReach or similar practice management systems. With its mature schema, quarterly ingestion cycles, and rigorous validation infrastructure, NADR could naturally evolve into a strategic data layer for scaled ABA providers looking to align operations, outcomes, and strategic growth.
